Kirin to reveal tips for maximizing healthy aging among the world’s oldest population – Growth Asia Summit

The three-day event will take place at Singapore’s iconic Marina Bay Sands venue from October 11-13.

Today, we can reveal that Dr. Daisuke Fujiwara, Managing Director of Health Sciences Department of Kirin Holdings, will deliver a keynote address titled ‘From research to innovation: Strategies for maximizing health among the world’s oldest population – Japan.’

As the author of over 50 publications, Dr. Daisuke’s main research interests are immunology and microbiology. Throughout his career, he has discovered a number of new bioactive compounds or organisms that contribute to healthy human life and has been awarded by various academic societies. He attended the University of Tokyo and earned a Ph.D. He started at the central laboratories of Kirin before becoming a visiting scientist at the RIKEN Allergy and Immunology Research Center, the national research center of Japan. In 2005-2007, he completed his post-doc at the David Geffen School of Medicine, UCLA. His current primary role is to link new Kirin scientific discoveries to commercial projects based on the credibility of science.
